Dog Walking, Dog Boarding, Day Care and Pet Visit Terms & Conditions.

By using The Good Girl Getaway you are agreeing to the following terms & conditions:

Dogs walked by The Good Girl Getaway must be sociable with other dogs, adults and children.

We do not accept dogs that are aggressive or are a banned breed in the UK.
One person should leave and collect the dog. If you need to nominate another person to do so we ask that you inform us of the name and phone number of that person. We will require the specified person to identify him or herself before allowing them to take your dog. ID in the form of a passport or drivers license will be accepted. The dog will not be released to them without prior consent from the owner and you will be liable for any extra boarding charges should this occur. This is for the safety and security of your dog.
All dogs must be microchipped with all details up to date and provided on the booking form.
We cannot walk bitches whilst they are in season but can offer the pet visit service instead.
The dogs' owner accepts full liability for any damage caused by their dog whilst being walked.
All dogs must be fully vaccinated before staying with us. It is your responsibility to vaccinate your dog. Vaccination against kennel cough is recommended but not required. We take no responsibility for your dog contracting any viral diseases while staying with us. All pets should be up to date with all vaccinations, worm and flea treatment – photocopy of documents must be provided.
The Good Girl Getaway is not responsible for damage incurred by your dog escaping because of a faulty leash/collar or a collar that is not properly fitting.
The Good Girl Getaway reserves the right to cancel the walk at any time and with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well to the walker and/or other dogs.
The Good Girl Getaway reserves the right to cancel any bookings with immediate effect should we feel that your pet has not responded well to our service.
The Good Girl Getaway will apply personal judgment and cut short a walk if necessary because of extreme weather conditions (i.e. heat, thunderstorms, snow) for the safety of both the dogs and the walker.
The Good Girl Getaway will care for your pet as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, The Good Girl Getaway cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.
When outside the premises all dogs must wear an identity tag with The Good Girl Getaway details on it.
During your dogs stay or during walks, your dog will be with other dogs. When signing below you are agreeing to this.
The client must provide all items necessary for your pet to be adequately cared for in the client’s absence.
The Good Girl Getaway cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by your pet to the owner’s property (inside and out) for whatever reason.
You will be liable for any damage your pet may cause to my goods or property.
You understand that The Good Girl Getaway is a multi-dog home boarding environment and can board multiple dogs from different families at a time. You agree to let us use our discretion to walk boarding dogs together and allow them to mix within the home and garden. You understand that the house is sectioned off using extra tall stair gates and doors to allow all dogs their own feeding and sleeping spaces as well as for them to be able to get some alone time.
You agree that The Good Girl Getaway can use toys, scatter feeders and treats to mentally stimulate the dogs. You also understand that at no time will The Good Girl Getaway ever give rawhide treats/bones and if they are brought to us we will send them back unused.
Your dog will not be left any longer than 3 hours without any human interaction.
If your dog uses a crate we will require you to consent to the use of the crate on the booking form and to provide your own crate for your dog to use.
We make every effort to contact the owner in the event of an emergency. We recommend owners provide us with a contact number of a trusted third party should we be unable to make contact. However, The Good Girl Getaway reserve the right to make decisions regarding your pet’s health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of your pet and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon. The owner is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees related to your pet incurred by The Good Girl Getaway.
In the event of an emergency Linda McGrath will cover the initial consultation and medication cost up to £100; to be reimbursed by the owner upon collection of the dog.
Any required excess above £100 will be settled by the owner or emergency contact. Please ensure you and/ or emergency contact have the necessary funds available to settle the veterinary bill in case of emergency.
The Good Girl Getaway may use our own leads, halti harness, muzzle, dual lead etc if required.
The Good Girl Getaway reserves the right to use a muzzle outdoors and indoors if deemed necessary for comfort and safety of other dogs, animals and people.
The Good Girl Getaway must be alerted to any behavioural problems with their pets at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in cancellations of any future bookings.
Whilst, The Good Girl Getaway assesses every dog on an individual basis, there may be an occasion whilst boarding that the dog acts in an unsuitable way for home boarding and the stay will need to be cancelled. You agree that you have given us a suitable emergency contact within the country that can collect and take the dog in should this occur. If an emergency contact cannot be reached or refuses to collect the dog, The Good Girl Getaway reserves the right to seek an appropriate place for the dog to stay until the return of the owner, at the owner’s cost. This may include kennels. Reasons a dog may be unsuitable are aggression to boarding dogs or ourselves, destructive behaviour such as excessive scent-marking, excessive barking, humping etc and the damage of household items and furnishings.
If your dog is on or prescribed any medication at the time of the stay, you give The Good Girl Getaway permission to administer it. The Good Girl Getaway is confident to apply creams, lotions and drops and also to administer liquid or solid oral medication. The staff at The Good Girl Getaway are not trained to give injections.
The Good Girl Getaway will make adequate steps to ensure your home is safe and secure in your absence; however, The Good Girl Getaway cannot be held responsible for any burglaries or accidents caused by your pet(s).
The Good Girl Getaway is insured for Public Liability, wherever possible pets should be insured by the client.
The Client will be responsible for providing or making available any keys required for the appointment, where applicable. Clients keys can be retained for future bookings or for our Emergency Call-Out Service where requested. Please note there is no charge for our key holding service. Your keys will be kept securely and separate from your contact information and will NEVER be used for any other purposes, than those specified by the client.
Security alarms in client’s premises: It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that The Good Girl Getaway can enter the client’s home without setting off any intruder alarms. Arrangements must be made prior to the booking if alarm codes need to be given. This must include clear instructions on how to turn off or disable an activated alarm. The Good Girl Getaway will ensure clients property is always left safe and secure.
Acceptance of our service is deemed as an acceptance of our terms and conditions and an agreement to pay our fees on time.
This agreement is valid for all future visits until a new agreement is signed.
The Good Girl Getaway reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at its sole discretion; likewise, the client may terminate this agreement at any time.
You and your dogs’ privacy:

During your dogs stay at The Good Girl Getaway, no information or photos will be added to the website or social media platforms. This is for two main reasons, ﬁrstly you may have a highly desirable breed of dog, so we wouldn’t want to encourage dog theft and secondly, while we look after your dog in your absence we would not want to advertise that your house is vacant.

Once your dog has been returned to you and is no longer in our care; to advertise and support the business only photos/media and comments of your dog will be added to social media platforms.

PLEASE NOTE:

Boarding is charged at a set rate per 24h (drop off after10am/ pick up 10 am the following day):

£30 per night.

If you collect your dog after 10 am you will be liable for an additional day-care rate of £22.

Drop off of your dog is strictly after 10 am.

Trial day-care is mandatory for all overnight boarders to ensure that your dog is comfortable with Lily, is happy and settled in our home and will truly enjoy their holiday with us.

Trial day-care is charged at a day-care rate £22.

You agree to The Good Girl Getaway taking videos and photos of your pets for promotional purposes on all social media platforms.

We will require a 50% deposit upon completing the familiarisation meeting and trial daycare. We will not be able to guarantee your booking unless this is paid.
Payment in full is required at the drop off of the dog.
Deposits are non-refundable if you need to cancel within 30 days of your booking period.
Please be aware that if an early collection is made during your booked period no part refund can be offered.
